The stone blocks were placed one on top of the other and fitted together "dry," without cement, to create conical roofs, each corresponding to the number of rooms inside. These rooms were divided by very thick, doorless walls, creating so-called "alcoves." The niche used to house the sink was the old manger for the animals that farmers would shelter inside during bad weather. A masterful renovation by master trullo builders has restored the "Trullo Uva Bianca" to its former splendor, preserving its customs and traditions, including the simple and comfortable furnishings, creating an atmosphere steeped in ancient flavors.
